Back home after a few days away in the camper van. It’s been great to start to relax, although the first week of the break is always trying to switch off from work and getting mentally un-tired – is that a thing?
It was so easy to pack up with the campervan and leave the site in good time. We headed to Kedleston Hall and on the approach started to discuss how it looked very familiar to a previous place we’d visited; maybe Calke Abbey. Turns out we visited Kedleston Hall two years ago. When we parked up we remembered it.

It was an enjoyable 5km walk around the estate, followed by a walk in the gardens. The house itself was obviously closed but a good stop off on the way back home.

We arrived back home in time for the matches: I watched Everton whilst Kate watched Leicester. Dan fell asleep! The garden is now mowed and the washing done. All set for a morning of appeals tomorrow before planning the next set of activities.
I heard that the local lockdown in Leicester will pretty much continue. There are some people you see and pass that still don’t make an effort to keep any distance and it is exactly that ignorance that causes issues. People must be careful and help all stay safe. And in time, help us all get back to life.
